eMalahleni - Mpumalanga MEC for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism, Ms Nompumelelo Hlophe, says investment in the children’s future is the best investment ever. She said this when celebrating the 2023 Nelson Mandela International Day at KwaMthunzi-Vilakazi (Clewer) in the Emalahleni Local Municipality today. MEC Hlophe was joined by the Executive Mayor of Emalahleni Local Municipality, Councillor Leah Mabuza.

Kholwane urges consumers to spend wisely during this festive season

Mbombela – Mpumalanga MEC for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism, Mr. Sikhumbuzo Eric Kholwane has appealed to consumers to spend their hard- earned cash wisely during this festive season.

MEC Kholwane said consumers need to consider cash as the cheapest option for payment as it is interest free. The credit option has additional cost implications such as finance charges and interest.

Mpumalanga Premier, Ms Refilwe Mtshweni-Tsipane has deployed all Members of the Executive and Executive Mayors, to honour the legacy of the first democratic President, Mr Nelson Mandela, by making a positive impact in various communities throughout the Province. This year’s Mandela Day will be celebrated under the theme: “It’s in your hands” and a call to action for “Climate, Food & Solidarity”. The theme seeks to highlight the urgent challenges of food and climate change facing the people worldwide.
