The MEC for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism, Mr Sikhumbuzo Kholwane would like to send his deepest and heartfelt condolences to the chairperson of MTPA, Mr Thulani Nzima and the rest of the family on the passing of their father, Mr Sam Nzima.
“The legendary photographer gave the world a glimpse of the struggle of the oppressed and exposed the brutality of the apartheid government towards learners and students thereby legitimize, in the eyes of the sympathetic world, the cause of the African majority for democracy and self-determination.
“We will always remember the huge contribution that Mr Sam Nzima has made to the modern day democracy in our land and his unwavering commitment to the liberation of our country.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the whole family at this sombre moment”, said MEC Kholwane.
