A 41-year-old man faces s reckless and negligent charge after he was caught driving his Toyota Land Cruiser SUV at 203 km/h on a 120 km/h zone.
The suspect was arrested on the N3 Toll Road between Heidelberg and Villiers today (13 January 2026) at about 12h30.
He was released on a R2000 bail pending his formal court appearance soon.
On the same road and zone, traffic law enforcement officers also arrested two other males for excessive speeding.
A VW Amarok driver was caught doing 179 km/h whilst the other driver of a GWM Haval was driving at 162 km/h.
They also face reckless and negligent charges and were released on a R2000 bail at the Grootvlei Police Station.
