The Mpumalanga Premier, Mr Mandla Ndovu will tomorrow officiate at the opening of the newly constructed offices of the Madabukela Traditional Council Offices, led by Inkhosi Bhekizizwe Mthethwa in Lunenburg, in the Mkhondo Local Municipality.
The new offices are an outcome of commitment by the Premier to support the institution of traditional leadership through modernization of their infrastructure. Furthermore, it is in line with the Provincial Government’s commitment to promote cultural heritage whilst strengthening the collaboration between the traditional leadership and their respective communities.
Traditional Council offices serve as vital points of contact between Amakhosi and communities within their jurisdiction. The new offices for the Madabukela Traditional Council will also be utilized to bring services closer to the local communities.
Premier Ndlovu will be accompanied by the Chairperson of the Provincial House of Traditional and Khoi San Leaders, Kgoshi Lameck Mokoena, Mkhondo Executive Mayor, Cllr. Ngelosi Ndlovu and Gert Sibande District Executive Mayor, Cllr. Walter Mngomezulu.
