Mpumalanga Premier, Mr. Mandla Ndlovu, today convened the Provincial Infrastructure Coordinating Council to review progress on infrastructure projects across the province, with a focus on accelerating implementation and strengthening infrastructure delivery.
The session was attended by the Director-General of the Mpumalanga Provincial Government, Ms Maggie Skosana, members of the Executive Council and Heads of Departments. Discussions focused on project planning, expenditure, contractor performance and measures to ensure the timely completion of infrastructure projects.
The Premier emphasised that infrastructure projects announced by government must move from planning to implementation and ultimately deliver improved services and facilities to communities. He called for stronger coordination, accountability and timely action in responding to the infrastructure needs of the people of Mpumalanga.
