Mbombela – Mpumalanga MEC for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism, Mr. Sikhumbuzo Eric Kholwane will on Friday announce members of the Interim Board of the Mpumalanga Economic Growth Agency (MEGA) in order to fill all vacancies, as contemplated in the Mpumalanga Economic Growth Agency Act, 2010 (Act no. 1 of 2010).
This is done in terms of Section 7 (4) of the Act which stipulates that “the Member of the Executive Council may, in the event of all positions on the Board being vacant, and with due regard to section 6, appoint temporary members to constitute an interim Board until such vacancies have been duly filled as contemplated in sub-section 2, provided that the term of office of such interim Board may not exceed a period of six months”.
