The Mpumalanga Premier, Mr Mandla Ndlovu will join mourners to bid farewell to the learners who lost their lives in a tragic collision. Six learners from the Morelig Combined School lost their lives last week in a collision involving a bus and a train at the R104 road between Arnot and Wonderfontein in the Steve Tshwete Local Municipality. A Memorial Service, was held on Wednesday. 

Mr Ndlovu will lead a procession of mourners, among them, Members of the Executive Council, Traditional Leaders, Educators and senior government officials during the Funeral Service. 

Since the tragedy took place, the Premier delegated various MECs to provide support to the bereaved families as well as the injured in hospital. This include the coordination of the Funeral Service for the deceased to be given a decent burial. He commended various role players in the coordination process for their commitment. 

Mr Ndlovu says the tragedy has caused communities in Mpumalanga to be united in mourning for the departed souls. The Funeral Service will take place on Saturday.

Venue: Sikhululiwe Community Hall, at Mafube village.
