Acting DARDLEA MEC Ms Busi Shiba hosted the annual Departmental Women's Forum in White River that saw speakers singing in one voice on issues that are facing and affecting women on a daily basis. Issues such as; Gender Equality, Gender Based Violence, Feminine Health, Food Security and Support Structures for women were some of the talking points of the day.
Furthermore, a light was shone on the biases surrounding feminine health and the choices that women have in that regard. The significance of this event is such that, a voice of unity and show of support becomes the order of the day, which can pave the way for bridging the gender gap and rectifying the ills that some women go through daily.
