The Office of the Premier (OTP) in Mpumalanga warns the public about a scam to extort money from targeted businesses and residents.
The Office has been alerted about an unscrupulous scammer who impersonates the Chief Financial Officer of the institution, and demand payments from the targets.
The Office wishes to state that the scammer is preying on the vulnerability of the targeted businesses and residents, and therefore urges anyone to be extremely cautious and to report this criminal act immediately to the South African Police Service, for the perpetrators to be arrested.
