The Department of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA) in Mpumalanga, will hand over a certificate of recognition to Inkhosi Mjokwana II of the Siboshwa Traditional Council in Nkomazi. Inkhosi Mjokwana is the heir to the throne of the Siboshwa Chieftaincy and will succeed the late Inkhosi Shushu.
The recognition of Inkhosi Mjokwana marks a new chapter for the leadership of the Siboshwa Traditional Council. His ascendency to the throne brings hope of stability, cohesion and development that communities within the jurisdiction of the Siboshwa Traditional Council were yearning for.
MEC for COGTA, Ms Busi Shiba and the leadership of the Provincial House of Traditional Leaders are amongst the dignitaries expected to attend the function. Only few dignitaries and communities have been invited, to comply with COVID-19 regulations that limit the number of people attending similar functions.
