King Makhosoke II of the Ndebele nation will address the annual Ndzuza-Pungutja cultural ceremony in Katjibane, Dr JS Moroka Local Municipality. Advancement of the Ndebele culture, partnership with tertiary institutions to promote the Ndebele language, land claims for the Ndebele nation will be amongst the issues to be addressed by King Makhosoke.
The Ndzuza-Pungutja cultural ceremony is hosted by Ikosi Cecil Mahlangu II to promote the Ndebele heritage and social cohesion. It is marked by cultural dances, sharing of historical milestones and strengthening of partnerships with the private sector as a measure for socio-economic interventions for poverty stricken communities in Katjibane and local villages.
Chairperson of the Provincial House of Traditional Leaders in Mpumalanga, Inkhosi Sandile Ngomane, the Executive of the Provincial and Local Houses, Dr JS Moroka’s Executive Mayor, Cllr Madileng and the local community are amongst those attending the annual ceremony scheduled as follows:
