Following the Easter Road Safety launch by National Transport Minister, Dr. Blade Nzimande at Heidelberg in Gauteng last week, Mpumalanga will launch a provincial Easter Arrive Alive Campaign in Mbombela tomorrow.

The launch will be led by Mpumalanga Community Safety, Security and Liaison MEC, Pat Ngomane and other members of the Executive Council.

The province will use tomorrow’s launch to further heighten the implementation of the 365 Days Road Safety Programme. The Premier and MEC Ngomane will also be joined by CEOs of Transport State Owned Entities, SAPS, key transport stakeholders and municipalities.

The launch will be used to encourage road users, motorists, public transport operators, freight transport operators, passengers, pedestrians and the general public to take personal responsibility for their safety on the roads as they will be travelling to various destinations during the Easter holidays and throughout the year.

The launch as been planned as follows:
