Communities residing in rural communities in Mkhondo Local Municipality will interact with Mpumalanga MEC for Community Safety, Security and Liaison, Pat Ngomane on challenges that they face as farm dwellers over the weekend during a Public Participation Programme.
During the event Ngomane will be accompanied by SAPS Provincial Commissioner, Lt. Gen. Mondli Zuma and representatives from departments such as Home Affairs, Justice and Social Development. Saturday’s programme is part of government ongoing efforts to engage communities on issues that directly affect them and to further strengthen existing partnerships in the fight against crime.
During the meeting, farm dwellers’ challenges, stock theft, domestic violence, sexual offences, assault and housebreakings will come under the spotlight.
MEC and his team will provide responses and cases that require further investigation will be referred to relevant departments that will later give feedback to affected communities and individuals.
