Six people were killed in a crash that happened this evening around 19h00 on D2740 Road in Phaake Village in the Mametlhake area.
The crash occurred when a bus crashed into the rear of the tractor and the sedan that was travelling in the opposite direction crashed into the wreckage of the two vehicles already involved. This resulted in six people, who were all occupants in the sedan being killed instantly.
An undisclosed number of people were rushed to the nearby Mametlhake Hospital for medical attention. More details will follow.
The cause of this is being investigated.
