MBOMBELA - Mpumalanga province will celebrate Heritage Day on Saturday, 24 September at Moloto South Open Space (next to Social Development Offices) in Thembisile Hani Municipality, starting at 9:00. 

The theme for this year’s celebration is, “Celebrating our Human Treasures by Asserting our African Identity.” The theme calls upon all South Africans to come together and celebrate indigenous languages, diverse cultures and human treasures such as Esther Mahlangu, who has put the country on the map with her Ndebele paintings. 

Premier DD Mabuza, who will deliver the keynote address on the day, has requested people to come dressed in their traditional attire. Government departments will also be servicing the community of Moloto during the celebration.

Gates open at 8:00 and entrance is free.
