Good morning, Dumelang, Lotjani
Today, we gather here not merely to hand over a house, but to restore hope, dignity and a sense of security to a family.
It is a day of restoration, a day of celebration not only for the Mandla family but for us as government and our generous partner ABSA bank who has made this possible.
My first 100 days in office as a Premier, I committed to meeting all key government stakeholders, ABSA was one of them. What you see here today is the fruits of that meeting.
I told them my vision for the province and I appealed to ABSA to assist me in building houses for families outside of the government RDP system of building houses.
ABSA committed to funding the construction of five houses over a period of two financial years, investing a remarkable 1.2 million Rand per annum into this initiative.
Two weeks ago we were in Bushbuckridge handing over another home to the Mashigo family. I am greatful to ABSA
for this partnership, kancane, kancane we are touching our people’s lives.
This home represents a new beginning. It is a tangible expression of what can be achieved when government, the private sector work together to improve the lives of our people.
We therefore extend our sincere appreciation to ABSA for its generosity and commitment to working with the Mpumalanga Provincial government.
This partnership demonstrates that, when we combine our resources and efforts, we can make a meaningful and impactful difference in our communities.
To the Mandla family, here is your beautiful new home. This is more than just a house, this is a place where your children and grandchildren will create precious memories, celebrate important milestones, and find comfort and security.
May this home be filled with love, laughter, peace and happiness. May it become a place where generations of
your family can gather, grow and build a brighter future together.
To the community of Senotlole, let us guard and protect this home, let us be our brother’s keeper.
Let us continue to work together to build a better, more prosperous Mpumalanga.
