The Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for the Department of Public Works, Roads and Transport, Thulasizwe Thomo, will officially hand over nineteen graders to the Department as part of efforts to strengthen road maintenance and improve service delivery across the province.
The acquisition of the graders forms part of the Department’s ongoing commitment to enhance its internal capacity to maintain the provincial road network, particularly gravel roads in rural communities. The deployment of the graders will assist in improving road accessibility, supporting economic activity, and ensuring safer travel for road users.
