The Mpumalanga MEC for Public Works, Roads and Transport, Mr Thulasizwe Thomo, together with the MEC for Community Safety, Security and Liaison, Mr Jackie Macie, will visit the Buscor Bus Depot following a fire incident in which ten (10) buses were destroyed.
The visit forms part of government’s immediate response to the incident and aims to assess the extent of the damage, engage with Buscor management, and receive a briefing on preliminary findings surrounding the cause of the fire. The MECs will also interact with law enforcement and affected stakeholders.
The MECs are expected to be joined by Buscor executives during the visit.
