The Mpumalanga Provincial Government will tomorrow welcome five new Early Childhood Development Centres (ECDs), generously donated by Seriti Power Community Trust. This collaborative effort marks a significant step towards the provincial government’s commitment to providing quality early learning opportunities for children. The new ECDs are part of Seriti Power Community Trust’s programme to serve communities by providing safe and nurturing environment for the children in the areas they operate.

Each centre is equipped with essential resources, including learning materials and facilities designed to promote holistic child development. Investing in the early years of the children is crucial to establish a strong learning foundation for the young learners. At least three ECDs have been constructed Kriel, Klarinet and Phola, and two in Morgenzon, in Emalahleni and Lekwa Local Municipalities respectively.

The Mpumalanga Provincial Government extends its heartfelt gratitude to Seriti for their continued commitment to community development and their valuable contribution to the education sector. The donation from Seriti significantly contributes to expanding access and improving the infrastructure especially in communities where the centres did not exist before.
