Mpumalanga Premier Ms Refilwe Mtshweni-Tsipane will attend the launch of the 5 day COVID-19 vaccination drive at the Sasol Secunda to monitor scores of employees taking the jab. The rollout of the mass vaccination programme will give Sasol employees and service providers an opportunity to receive COVID-19 vaccine effective from Monday until Friday.
Ms Mtshweni-Tsipane says this is an outcome of a partnership between the Provincial Government and the fuel giant, and hope that it will ignite a similar appetite broadely in the private sector to mobilize employees for the realization of the country’s immunity community. Through this partnership, the Provincial Government made available resources, which include, but not limited to, vaccines and trained personnel to administer the vaccination.
As part of the visit to the vaccination programme, the Premier, accompanied by the MEC for Health in Mpumalanga, Ms Sasekani Manzini and Gert Sibande District Executive Mayor, Cllr Muzi Chirwa will tour the state-of-the-art Sasol Medical Centre where the employees will take the jab.
