MBOMBELA – The Mpumalanga Provincial Government will commemorate Youth Day on Wednesday, June 16 at Leopard Sports Field, Ronaldsey Trust (Midlands East) in Bushbuckridge Local Municipality, starting at 10:00.
This year’s Youth Day carries the theme, “The Year of Charlotte Mannya Maxeke: Growing Youth Employment for an Inclusive and Transformed Society.” Premier Refilwe Mtshweni-Tsipane is expected to deliver the keynote address and she will use it to highlight government’s programmes on youth development and empowerment.
Youth Day celebrates the undying spirit of young people, especially the class of 1976 who contributed immensely in the fighting for liberation in the country.
