The Office of the Premier (OTP), the Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, Land and Environmental Affairs (DARDLEA), and the Department of Social Development (DSD) will on Thursday, 11 June 2026, table their respective Policy and Budget Speeches for the 2026/27 financial year at the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature, Mbombela.
The speeches will outline each department’s policy priorities and budget allocations, reflecting the Mpumalanga Provincial Government’s commitment to inclusive growth, social development, and improved agricultural support to grow the economy.
The Policy and Budget Speeches form part of the provincial government’s accountability processes and are anchored on the priorities of the 7th Administration as pronounced by Premier Mandla Ndlovu in the State of the Province Address.
These priorities include, amongst others, intervention programmes such as the Premier’s Youth Development Fund, a job creation grant funding initiative for youth-owned enterprises; the provision of sanitary towels to underprivileged young women; and the Masibuyel’ Emasimini programme, aimed at fostering farming for food security.
