The Premier of Mpumalanga, Mr Mandla Ndlovu, will on Tuesday, 07 July 2026, officially open the state-of-the-art Troya Clinic in the Dr JS Moroka Local Municipality, Nkangala District, marking another significant milestone in the Provincial Government's ongoing investment in quality healthcare infrastructure.
The newly constructed facility will improve access to quality primary healthcare services for communities in Troya and surrounding villages, while reducing travelling distances and waiting times previously experienced by residents seeking healthcare services. The clinic is expected to serve an estimated 4 960 people within its catchment area.
Troya Clinic will provide a comprehensive package of Primary Health Care services, including maternal and child healthcare, chronic disease management, HIV and TB services, immunisation, health promotion, and routine screening services.
The official opening forms part of the Mpumalanga Provincial Government's commitment to strengthening public healthcare and delivering services closer to communities. It also adds to the growing number of completed health infrastructure projects across the province aimed at improving the quality of life of the people of Mpumalanga.
Premier Ndlovu will deliver the keynote address, officiate the ribbon-cutting ceremony, and undertake a guided tour of the facility. Members of the public will also have access to free health promotion and screening services, including screenings for hypertension, diabetes, HIV, TB and cancer.
