Mpumalanga Premier, Mr Mandla Ndlovu, will on Wednesday, 21 October 2026, officially launch and open the Alexandria state-of-the-art clinic in the Bushbuckridge Local Municipality under Ehlanzeni District Municipality. The occasion will add to the Provincial Government's highlights of continued commitments to building quality health care facilities for the people of the province. The new clinic will bring dependable primary healthcare closer to residents of Alexandria and neighbouring villages and will serve an estimated number of 21 506 people located within its vicinity.
The clinic will offer a full range of Primary Health Care Services which include amongst others, the mother and child health services, management of chronic illnesses, HIV/AIDS, TB care, vaccinations, health education and screening.
The launch supports the province's drive to expand public healthcare services in areas closer to communities in order to advance the National Health Insurance agenda. It joins a growing list of health infrastructure projects delivered across Mpumalanga by Government in order to improve easy access to health services for the communities.
Two more clinics are to be opened in the Steve Tshwete and Thembisile Hani Local Municipalities soon. Premier Ndlovu will address the gathering and tour the facility during the launch. He invites community members to attend this grand event.
Free health services will be made available on the day and will include, testing and screening for hypertension, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, TB and Cancer.
The Premier will be accompanied by MEC for Health in the province, Ms Sasekani Manzini, Executive Mayors and senior government officials during the launch.
