The Mpumalanga Premier, Mr. Mandla Ndlovu will on Friday address the Taking the Legislature to the People (TLP) programme in Mkhondo Local Municipality. The Premier’s address will mark the closing session of the week-long programme which started on Monday.
The Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature, led by the Speaker, Ms. Lindi Masina-Jele is currently interacting with communities in and around the Municipality, to understand service delivery issues affecting them. The engagements vary from public meetings to project oversight visits. Communities have raised among others, lack of access to water and electricity in new settlements, lack of job opportunities for the youth and poor road infrastructure, during the engagements.
Members of the Executive Council and Executive Mayors, are among the leaders attending the session to respond to issues raised.
Accordingly, Premier Ndlovu will deliver the closing remarks which will serve as acknowledgement of the issues raised by the community with a commitment to intervene.
