Mpumalanga Premier, Mr Mandla Ndlovu, today met with representatives of the Mpumalanga Unemployed Youth Graduates structure as government strengthens efforts to address youth unemployment and improve the transition from education into the world of work.

The Premier reaffirmed government's commitment to supporting young graduates through initiatives aimed at opening pathways to employment, including efforts to remove experience barriers for entry-level public service posts, expanded internship and artisan placement opportunities, and a broadened Premier's Bursary Fund. Government is also working with the National Empowerment Fund to expand the reach of the Premier's Youth Development Fund in supporting youth-owned enterprises.
Premier Ndlovu committed to maintaining an open and ongoing dialogue with unemployed graduates, emphasising that meaningful progress in addressing youth unemployment requires government and young people to work together. The Office of the Premier will continue to engage the structure and relevant stakeholders to ensure that issues raised translate into practical interventions and opportunities for young people across Mpumalanga.
