After several media enquiries regarding the matter between the Office of the Premier (OTP) and Mr Peter Nyoni, the Office wishes to state the following, that his contract
was not terminated but ended on the 28th of February 2026.
Legal opinions sought from the Public Service Commission (PSC) and the Department of Public Service and Administration (DPSA) revealed that the contract was irregular in that it contravened prescripts governing employment of officials in the public service.
In light of the above, the Office of the Premier will oppose the matter in court.
